10 Motorcycle Quotes To Inspire You

Motorcycling is one of those glorious things that you can't help but fall in love with. Riding into the sunset, riding into the rain, it's an amazing thing.

Here are ten quotes on motorcycling to inspire you and reignite your love for motorcycling. They will refresh you, remind you of the thrill and energize you. Check them out!

1. "If you don't ride in the rain, you don't ride at all" – Author Unknown

Riding in the rain, there's honestly nothing better than it. As you whizz down a country road and the heavens open, you'd swear you're in paradise as the refreshingly cold droplets hit your skin. This is the magic of rain, and riding in the rain.

Riding a motorcycle is amazing, but with rain? That's a whole different level. If you get the chance to try it out someday, you should. Just be careful and stay safe. Storms are definitely a huge no-no!

If you don't ride in the rain, you don't ride at all

2. "Love is the feeling you get when you like something as much as your motorcycle" – Hunter S Thompson

We all adore our motorcycles. We all adore them probably more than anything else. That's why you know you truly love something when you like it as much or more than your motorcycle. It's a good benchmark to hold.

Motorcycle Feeling

3. "You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough" – Mae West

This couldn't be more true. Fill it up with motorcycling goodness, thrill packed rides through buzzing cities and quite country lanes. Get out there and see the world. Meet fellow motorcyclers and befriend them. Share your experiences with others. This will give you the fruitful and exciting motorcycling experience that we all crave so much. Pack your life with as much as you can, and when it comes to motorcycling, enjoy it while you can.

You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough

4. On a bike, no one ever asks "Are we there yet?"

This is a very hilarious quote which I can't help but love. It's true that in a car, you can't feel the beauty of the outside or the scenery. You can't feel the true euphoria that a motorcycle ride can bring. You can't feel the wind whip across your face or the refreshing droplets of rain that cool your skin as you race down a road. That's the beauty of motorcycling. In a car, you just don’t feel that. And that's why nobody asks, "Are we there yet?" when they're on a bike.

'Are we there yet?

5. "Live to ride. Ride to live" – Author Unknown

This is one of the most important motorcycling mantras of all time. Many of us passionate motorcyclers live to ride and ride to live. Simple as that. Make sure to share this quote on social media with your other friends. I even stick this up on the desktop of my computer just to remind of it everytime!

Live to ride. Ride to live

6. "Four wheels move the body. Two wheels move the soul" – Author Unknown

This is what I call motorcycling. Cars have four wheels and don't really give you the same feeling. But, get on two wheeled goodness and you'll be in heaven. That's why this quote has resonated with so many motorcycles around the world. It has even become a mantra for many, including me. Every time I mount a motorcycle, I think of how two wheels and a saddle can move my soul in the way nothing else can come near.

Four wheels move the body. Two wheels move the soul

7. "The brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all" – Meg Cabot

Motorcycling is a brave thing. You may not think it, but it's packed full of danger at every swerve and winding lane. But somehow, that's the beauty of it. It brings an exciting thrill that nothing else can bring. A car ride doesn't come close. People don't know what they're missing out on. Until they mount a bike, start riding and realize that nothing will be as awesome as a motorcycle ride.

Just stay safe, and don't overdo the speed. Speeding way past the limits is not going to get you in a very good place. Ride within a comfortable limit. It's still going to be as electrifying.

The brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all

8. "If I weren't doing what I'm doing today…I'd be travelling around the world on the back of a motorcycle" – Donna Karan

Donna Karan is one of the biggest fashion icons in the world, and she is one of the most. You can see her passion for fashion, in all her work. But she'd rather be on the back of a motorcycle if she got the chance. Now that's dedication. It's truth also. I think pretty much everyone wants to be riding on a motorcycle through winding country lanes and high speed highways.

If I weren't doing what I'm doing today…I'd be travelling around the world on the back of a motorcycle

9. "Passing my motorcycle theory test gave me a disproportionate feeling of greatness" – James McAvoy

For a biker like you, passing the motorcycle theory test was probably the best things you've done in your life. It sure was for me, no doubt about that. Passing your motorcycle theory test means riding into sunsets, in the rain, feeling the glorious wind and getting freedom. James McAvoy has related with this feeling of greatness when he passed his theory test for motorcycles. It was such an important day for him no doubt. It's a magical feeling, getting that key to freedom and happiness and only a motorcycle theory test can bring that.

10. "Driving a motorcycle is like flying. All your senses are alive" – Hugh Laurie

The nearest you can ever get to flying, is motorcycling. It brings a special, electrifying feeling of greatness, euphoria and a whole myriad of other emotions that can't be described. Flying has always been one of those much desired abilities that humans could have, but the nearest and most comparable we can get to flying is through motorcycling.

And it really is an amazing experience. Hugh Laurie certainly described it beautifully when he says that all your senses are alive. I couldn't agree with him more.
