Install VTX shocks on the SuperMagna
9/21/2012 9:02:26 PM
Install VTX shocks on the SuperMagnaAre there any options for new rear suspension?Yes.
The shocks from the VTX 1300, 1800, and FAR are all bolt-on options to the Super. If you use any of these shocks as they are, they will lower the back of your bike a couple inches. If you decide to use your new shocks as they are, you will need to slightly bend-out the leading edge of your grab rails in order to get the proper clearance.

Harley-Davidson Softail Specifications
7/17/2012 3:54:56 PM
Harley-Davidson Softail SpecificationsThe Harley-Davidson Softail family is named for its hidden horizontal rear shock absorbers. The Heritage Softail Classic was released in 1986, followed by the Springer Softail in 1988. The first softail transmitted power from a 1,340-cubic centimeter, V-twin, Evolution engine, which idled cooler and did not leak oil like its predecessor. The Softail Deuce, which appeared in 2000, upgraded the Softails to Twin-Cam, 88-B engines. Fuel injection was added in 2001.

ABS on Harley
4/28/2012 2:45:21 PM
ABS on HarleyThe ABS brake option was offered first on motorcycles by BMW in 1988. In the Harley Davidson world it’s been around since 2005 in law enforcement service and in standard Touring models and V-Rods since 2008. ABS is now available on both Softail and Dyna models as well.

Often folks ask us whether or not it’s a good choice as an extra expense on their new Harley. It’s not an easy question to answer briefly, mainly because ABS on a motorcycle is a very different beast than ABS on a car. The reason is that ABS in a four-wheeled vehicle will help you maintain control in hard-braking situations even when turning or cornering; not so on your beloved Hog.

Custom Derby Cover
1/8/2012 12:00:00 AM
Custom Derby CoverIn this project, we had the chance to redesign and produce a motorcyclederby cover for the famed Harley Davidson. Working on top of anexisting derby cover, the client provided us with a concept artwork for thenew design. With the model file of the derby cover and the artwork in hand,we set out to do what we do best, turning visions into reality.

Challenges Ahead
One of the first challenges we face is on the artwork itself. With sophisticated and organic details, there is simplyno way to make a truthful representation of that from within the computer. On the other hand, as the entire cover iscircled by the bandolier detail, it is simply impossible to keep them aligned symmetrically in the hand sculptingprocess. Also of concern is the size.

FAR - Progressive Suspensions
11/21/2011 3:32:54 PM
FAR - Progressive SuspensionsThere are many lowering shocks for touring bikes on the market. Unfortunately many are sacrificing the suspension travel, so the ride comfort.

Our shocks are designed for performance-oriented twin-shock bikes and feature piggyback reservoirs, a high pressure gas charge and deflective disc valving, all packaged in a mono-tube style body.
Progressive-rate springs, threaded preload adjustment and external compression adjustment knob allow for fine tuning to suit rider weight and riding style.
